Sayan Dey B.A., M.A, Ph.D., is a Lecturer in the Postgraduate Department of English, Yonphula Centenary College, Royal University of Bhutan. He has been awarded the Charles Wallace Short term Fellowship, Volkswagen Foundation Grant, as well as the Journal of International Women’s Studies Fellowship and the GAPS Travel Grant German Research Foundation Travel twice. Dr. Dey is also a research documentary filmmaker, his first documentary ‘Their Stories, Their Voices: The Orphans of the British Raj’ has been screened in several film festivals and academic forums around the world. He is one of the founding members of ‘Aurthaat Productions: A Creative Research and Academic Archive’, which preserves stories and documents associated with unique histories, cultures and traditions across the world.
